missed blog #1

I think that the book accuratley depicts their struggle, and in doing so, gives the reader a feeling of sympathy for the farmers and family members. While the book makes the reader feel bad for the people of the dust bowl, I think it also creates a feeling of disgust. This feeling comes from reading about the wrong-doing that the people partake in, like stealing and choosing themselves over others, but then I remember the panic of the time and it all makes sense.
